First Draft

„First Draft“ is an independent Bulgarian production company founded by Anton Belev and Krassimira Belev. The couple met on set during the filming of Krassimira’s debut script – the short film Undo, directed by Stanislav Hristov.

The picture explores the right of women to choose their own destiny and the price they need to pay for taking their own decisions. „Undo“ participated in more than 50 international film festivals and competed to become the Bulgarian submission in the Oscars at the biggest short film festival in Bulgaria „In the Palace.“

Following the success of „Undo,“ the same team shot their debut feature film, „The Therapy.“ The film explores the themes of time, fear of criticism and family dynamics. But most of all – why do some of us suffer from creative blockages and is there an „antidote“?

Krassimira and Anton’s third project is currently in post-production. „Anyone and Everyone“ is a short film written by Ivanka Bakalova and directed by Stanislav Hristov. The film is about domestic violence.

Our goal as a production company is to work on projects that matter and to raise awareness on relevant social themes. We strive to produce films that ignite the human imagination and give voice to the stories that are often left untold.
